Hakan Yanar, the founder of HY Tanıtım, has graduated from Kabataş Erkek Lisesi, followed by his BA Degree in Economics Department of Anadolu University and BA Degree in Business Administration of Hacettepe University. He has joined the State Folk Dance Group under Ministry of Culture via a talent exam. He has worked as an Official State Artist until 1995. The main objective of the group was to promote Turkish Folk Dance internationally through their contemporary versions. The shows he participated include Kennedy Center in the USA, Bolshoy Theatre in Russia, Royal Albert Hall in UK, Sidney Opera House in Australia. He has also participated in Official State Protocol Shows under the auspices of the Kenan Evren, President of Turkey and Turgut Özal, Prime Minister of Turkey for numerous State Leaders including George Bush, President of the USA; Todor Jivkov, President of Bulgaria; Nikolai Çavuşesku, State Leader of Romania; Şeyh Zayid of United Arab Emirates; Hüsnü Mübarek, the President of Egypt; King Hüseyin of Jordan; Prince Mirzan Mohamet of Malasia; Ziya Ül Hak, State Leader of Pakistan. He has significant number of certificates of appreciation for these shows.
Due to relocation from Ankara to İstanbul, Hakan Yanar had to quit his post in Ministry of Culture and started his new chapter in İstanbul in Public Relations & Organizations sector. He has worked as Organization and Coordination Director in different PR companies between 1996 and 2000. In 2000, Hakan Yanar established his own company HY Tanıtım to provide services in PR, media relations, advertisements, events and organizations sectors. He has worked with many national and international companies. He has been part of the project team establishing the İŞ Sanat function and branch of Türkiye İş Bankası. He has managed and executed all organizations and events of İŞ Sanat between 2000 and 2006. These İŞ Sanat events include concerts by many world famous jazz and classical music artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Charlie Haden, Gidon Kremer, Dianne Reeves, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Dave Brubeck, Yuri Temirkanov, Ivo Pogorelich, Cesaria Evora, Branford Marsalis . Between the same years, he has managed and executed hospitality services and field operations of jazz festival and biennial of Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İstanbul Kültür ve Sanat Vakfı – IKSV).
In addition to these, he has provided corporate identity, events management, organization and PR services, marketing communications services to Ernst & Young , Türkiye İş Bankası İznik Training and Education Center, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Foundation, Axa Oyak, Şişecam, Sabancı Üniversitesi, Borusan Kültür, Denizbank, AEG, Yapı Kredi Pension Fund, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Banks Association of Turkey, Yamata Investment, Bosch, Işıklar Holding, Canan Cosmetics, İstanbul Princess Hotel, Real Shopping Center, Soyak Residential Housing Company.
He has also developed two different organizations since 2011: “From Office to the Stage”, where contestants from corporate companies perform songs on the stage, and “From Office to the Kitchen”, an entertaining and exciting cooking event held for employees from corporate companies. These projects included 92 contestant companies, 68 stage performances and 152 groups on stage with 52.000 onsite audience and 150.000 online audience.
Based on his experience, vision and agenda, Hakan Yanar continues to participate in national and international projects.
